He offers in-depth market expertise, business growth experience, and connections with a focus around employee benefits, retirement plans, health care consumerism, health innovation, and financial health trends and initiatives.

He also has deep experience in business formation and leadership, with an entrepreneur and CEO background. He currently leads an advisory and business development firm, the SouthField Group. Prior to this, he built leading communities and event businesses serving the employee benefit & retirement field – Employee Benefit News and Employee Benefit Advisor (www.benefitnews.com) – and a leading thought leadership and event community around healthcare consumerism: The Institute for HealthCare Consumerism.

Doug has more than 35 years of business building experience. In this span of time, he has acted as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President of businesses in a diverse set of industries. He holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University and was an active leader of Pi Lambda Phi fraternity.
